Accessibility@Wisconsin

As the World Wide Web becomes fundamental to virtually every facet of education, it is essential that materials and services are accessible to everyone who needs them. Educational institutions face the enormous challenge of ensuring that course materials, student services, business services, and information dissemination tools are designed to be universally accessible to those with the widest range of abilities and disabilities.

To help meet this challenge, ITS @ Wisconsin offers a variety of services, including:

  • providing quick references such as FAQs and tip sheets;
  • coordinating and conducting training opportunities such as workshops, online tutorials, individual consultation, and support;
  • serving as a central clearinghouse for information and referrals, linking those with specific needs to those willing to share expertise, tools, techniques, or other resources.

The University of Wisconsin has developed a webpage on assistive technology that serves as a central starting point for System resources.
